Job Summary
We are looking for a Laptop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for end users. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring laptops and peripherals, and ensuring minimal downtime through timely support. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently at client locations.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide onsite support for laptops.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.
Install, configure, and upgrade Windows operating systems and business applications.
Replace or upgrade laptop components such as RAM, SSDs, batteries, keyboards, and adapters.
Support Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Teams, and related productivity tools.
Configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
Manage support tickets, document resolutions, and ensure SLA compliance.
Coordinate with relevant internal teams and clients to ensure delivery timelines are achieved in timely manner.
Provide excellent customer service while supporting users at client locations.
Required Skills :
Strong knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows 10/11 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory user management.
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
Experience with laptop imaging and deployment tools.
Knowledge of ITSM/ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or ManageEngine.
Ability to diagnose and replace laptop hardware components.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum qualification: 12th Pass (Higher Secondary).
Graduates are preferred, especially in Information Technology, or a related field.
Diploma or certification in Computer Hardware, Laptop/Desktop Support, or IT Hardware & Networking is preferred.
1–5 years of experience in field/Onstie and laptop hardware support.
