We are seeking an IT Support & Network Technician to handle end-to-end hardware, basic network infrastructure, and surveillance system maintenance. The candidate will be responsible for deployment, troubleshooting, report generation, and ensuring daily IT operations run smoothly across office and client premises. This role includes an initial 6-month probation period, after which performance and permanent placement will be reviewed.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Computing: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and basic server systems.
Surveillance Systems: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVRs, DVRs, BNC connectors, and related surveillance infrastructure.
Networking: Configure and maintain LAN/WAN setups, network switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, and cabling (crimping, punching, connectivity testing).
Operating Systems & Software: Perform OS installation, software deployment, patch updates, and system-level troubleshooting.
Reporting & Communication: Prepare daily/periodic site status reports and communicate updates clearly with team members and clients.
On-Site Support: Visit local branches or client sites for physical inspections, diagnostics, and issue resolution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (BCA, B.Tech/B.E. in CS/IT/ECE, or equivalent).
Certification: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) preferred or required.
Language Skills: Strong written and spoken English communication skills (mandatory for client interactions and reporting).
Technical Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting, cable punching, crimping, and connectivity testing.
Understanding of IP addressing, routing, switching, and basic firewall concepts.
Familiarity with CCTV/DVR/NVR installation and maintenance.
Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, respond quickly to support tickets, and maintain accurate activity logs.
