About the Role
Looking for a hands-on L2 – IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer to manage and support IT infrastructure across multiple coworking/managed-office locations and client environments.
Top Priority – What We Actually Need
We need someone who can independently take ownership of day-to-day IT infrastructure operations across multiple sites. This is NOT a desktop-support-only role. The engineer will be expected to troubleshoot issues independently, identify the actual root cause, provide timely updates, maintain clear accountability, and take ownership until closure.
· Multiple office locations and client-specific IT environments
· Multiple ISP links – ILL, Broadband/DSL and static/public IP connectivity
· Routers, firewalls, managed switches and enterprise Wi-Fi
· VLAN-based network environments
· CCTV/NVR infrastructure
· Biometric and access-control systems
· Client IT teams, ISPs and third-party vendors
· Infrastructure audits, documentation and change management
· L1 → L2 escalation handling and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Core Responsibilities
Network & Infrastructure Operations
· Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, routing and switching.
· Configure and troubleshoot routers, firewalls, managed switches and enterprise wireless networks.
· Manage multiple ISP connections including ILL, Broadband/DSL, static/public IPs and failover links.
· Troubleshoot packet loss, latency, bandwidth, routing, VLAN and internet connectivity issues.
· Monitor ISP/network health and coordinate technical escalations with service providers.
Firewall, Switching & Wi-Fi
Hands-on exposure to technologies such as:
· Fortinet / FortiGate
· MikroTik
· Cisco / Meraki
· Grandstream networking
· Managed PoE & Non-PoE switches
· Enterprise wireless access points
Experience with equivalent enterprise networking products is acceptable if networking fundamentals are strong.
Multi-Site IT Operations
· Provide L2 support across multiple Synq.Work locations.
· Perform site visits across Delhi NCR whenever required.
· Support new office/site IT deployments and infrastructure handovers.
· Coordinate with internal teams, client IT teams, ISPs and vendors.
· Take ownership of escalations received from L1 engineers.
· Perform troubleshooting without unnecessary dependency on vendors/OEM support.
CCTV, Biometric & Access Control
· Basic configuration and troubleshooting of IP CCTV cameras and NVRs.
· Understanding of CCTV networking, IP addressing and recording/storage.
· Support biometric attendance and access-control infrastructure.
· Coordinate installation and troubleshooting with vendors where required.
Documentation, Audit & Change Management
· Maintain accurate network diagrams and site-wise infrastructure documentation.
· Maintain IP addressing, VLAN and network-device records.
· Maintain device configuration and infrastructure inventories.
· Perform periodic network/infrastructure health checks and audits.
· Document incidents and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
· Follow proper Change Management before making production network/firewall changes.
· Ensure configuration changes are documented and approved.
Mandatory Technical Knowledge
Networking: TCP/IP | IPv4 | Subnetting | VLAN | DHCP | DNS | NAT | LAN/WAN | Static Routing | VPN | Trunk/Access Ports
Network Troubleshooting: Ping | Traceroute | Packet Loss | Latency | Gateway/DNS Troubleshooting | Bandwidth Troubleshooting | Basic Packet Analysis
Infrastructure: Firewalls | Routers | Managed Switches | Enterprise Wi-Fi | ISP Links | Static/Public IPs | Network Racks | Patch Panels | Structured Cabling
Operational Skills – Very Important
· Takes end-to-end ownership of assigned incidents and tasks, with timely status updates and clear accountability.
· Can independently identify whether an issue is related to LAN, WAN, firewall, ISP, switching, Wi-Fi or endpoint.
· Does not depend entirely on vendors for troubleshooting.
· Understands the difference between a temporary workaround and a permanent resolution.
· Can communicate professionally with clients and senior stakeholders.
· Can coordinate effectively with ISP NOCs and technical vendors.
· Maintains proper documentation instead of relying on verbal information.
· Understands the importance of production change control.
· Can prioritize P1/P2 incidents and work under operational pressure.
· Is comfortable supporting multiple sites rather than working only from a single desk/location.
Qualification & Experience
· 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in Network / IT Infrastructure Operations.
· Strong networking fundamentals are mandatory.
· Experience in a multi-site, coworking, managed-office, enterprise or MSP environment will be preferred.
· CCNA / Fortinet / MikroTik / Meraki or similar certifications are advantageous.
· Practical technical capability will be given higher priority than certifications alone.
· Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
Technical Assessment
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a practical technical assessment covering:
· TCP/IP & Subnetting
· VLAN configuration/troubleshooting
· DHCP & DNS
· Firewall & NAT
· Routing & Switching
· ISP troubleshooting
· Wi-Fi troubleshooting
· Real-world network incident scenarios
Candidates should be capable of explaining how they would diagnose and resolve an issue, not just defining networking concepts.
