Job Summary:
The Desktop Support Person is responsible for
Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users via remote access tools, phone, or in-person.
System Setup & Configuration: Provision laptops and desktops for new hires; install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, macOS) and authorized business applications.
Hardware Maintenance: Manage the upkeep, repair, and replacement of PCs, monitors, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
Network & Access Management: Assist users with login problems, password resets, VPN access, and basic Wi-Fi/LAN connectivity issues.Ticketing & Documentation: Log all incidents and service requests in IT Support Ticketing Systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) to track them through to resolution, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Asset Management: Track and maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware and software licenses.
Skillsets:
Networking, Routing, Troubleshooting, OS configuration, hardware diagnosis, and an understanding of foundational protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) to resolve connectivity issues effectively
