Job Summary

NSV Solutions is looking for a skilled and dedicated Computer / Laptop Hardware Field Technician to handle onsite warranty complaints for laptops and desktop computers. The candidate will be responsible for visiting customer locations, diagnosing hardware issues, performing repairs, replacing faulty components, and ensuring timely resolution of service requests while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend onsite warranty complaints for laptops and desktop computers at customer locations.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues related to motherboards, RAM, SSD/HDD, keyboards, displays, batteries, chargers, and other components.

• Perform hardware repairs and replacement of defective parts as per warranty guidelines.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, drivers, and basic software-related issues.

• Handle service requests professionally and resolve complaints within the defined SLA/TAT.

• Update complaint status, service reports, and closure details in the company or customer service application.

• Maintain proper records of replaced parts, serial numbers, and warranty-related documentation.

• Coordinate with the service center, technical support team, and customer for complaint resolution.

• Follow company policies, technical procedures, and customer service standards.

• Ensure professional conduct and customer satisfaction during every onsite visit.

Eligibility Criteria

• ITI / Diploma / Degree in Computer Hardware, IT, Electronics, or a related field preferred.

• Experience in laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair will be an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of Windows OS, drivers, BIOS, and computer hardware components.

• Good communication and customer-handling skills.

• Ability to work independently and travel to customer locations.

• Must have a valid driving licence and own bike/scooter, if required for field visits.

• Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also apply.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of complaints attended and successfully resolved.

• First-time fix rate and repeat complaint rate.

• Compliance with SLA/TAT timelines.

• Accuracy of service reports and complaint closures.

• Customer satisfaction and feedback.

• Proper handling of spare parts and warranty documentation.

• Punctuality, attendance, and professional conduct.
