Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations by resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 1 & Level 2 desktop support to users
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, Outlook, and other applications
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals
Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration, router/switch issues)
Handle system upgrades, OS installation, patch updates, and antivirus management
Manage user accounts, email configuration, and basic Active Directory tasks
Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and support tickets
Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement and warranty support
Ensure data backup, security, and compliance with IT policies
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field
1–5 years of hands-on experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, basic networking, and hardware troubleshooting
Experience with printers, scanners, and other peripherals
Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Active Directory, remote support tools, and basic server support
Experience in IT asset management and ticketing tools
