Job Summary :A Desktop Support Engineer with 1 year of experience responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing IT assets, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations for end users. Key Responsibilities • Provide Level 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals. • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, and common business applications. • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, IP configuration). • Set up and manage user accounts, passwords, and email (Outlook/Office 365/Gmail). • Perform system upgrades, patch updates, antivirus installations, and regular maintenance. • Troubleshoot hardware issues such as RAM, HDD/SSD, keyboard, monitor, and system performance. • Support configuration of printers, scanners, and shared network devices. • Monitor and maintain IT inventory, including laptops, desktops, and accessories. • Log calls, maintain support tickets, and ensure timely resolution using ticketing tools. • Assist with new user onboarding, system setup, and asset handover. • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repair or replacement. • Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions, and IT procedures. • Ensure data security, backup support, and safe usage of IT systems. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 troubleshooting. • Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking fundamentals, and command-line tools. • Experience with Active Directory, user management, and group policies (basic level). • Good understanding of Outlook configuration, PST files, and mailbox troubleshooting. • Familiar with remote support tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, RDP). • Ability to follow SOPs and escalate issues when required. • Good communication, problem-solving, and customer support skills.
