Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to end users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, network connectivity, and other IT-related issues while ensuring timely resolution and a high level of user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first- and second-level technical support to employees for desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and desktop applications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity problems.
Configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
Create, update, and manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory.
Support Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and OneDrive.
Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN, internet, and other basic network connectivity issues.
Install and configure software, security updates, patches, and antivirus applications.
Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper tracking of hardware and software.
Log, monitor, update, and resolve incidents and service requests through an IT ticketing system.
Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate infrastructure, network, or application teams.
Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, including system setup, access provisioning, and equipment allocation.
Follow IT security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, knowledge-base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
Provide remote and onsite technical support as required.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 desktop operating systems.
Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and common desktop applications.
Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and peripheral configuration.
Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity and endpoint security practices.
