Computer Hardware Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on IT Hardware, Network, and CCTV Installation Engineer to manage our physical and digital infrastructure. You will be responsible for the end-to-end setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, local area networks (LAN), and surveillance systems to ensure zero downtime and maximum security.

Key Responsibilities

1. Computer Hardware & Software Support

Assembling, installing, and configuring desktops, laptops, and servers.

Troubleshooting hardware peripherals (printers, scanners, UPS).

Installing and updating OS (Windows/Linux) and essential software (Antivirus, MS Office, ERP).

2. Networking & Connectivity

Designing and laying out structured cabling (Cat6) for offices.

Configuring Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.

Managing Wi-Fi Access Points and ensuring seamless internet connectivity.

3. CCTV & Surveillance Systems

Installation and positioning of IP and Analog cameras.

Configuring DVR/NVR systems and setting up remote viewing on mobile devices.

Routine maintenance of storage disks and camera cleaning.

4. Maintenance & Reporting

Conducting regular preventive maintenance (PM) visits.

Maintaining an inventory of hardware assets and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Diploma in Hardware/Networking, ITI, or a BCA degree.

Technical Knowledge: • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

Experience with brands like Hikvision/CP Plus (CCTV) and Cisco/TP-Link/D-Link (Networking).

Soft Skills: Ability to communicate in Bengali, Hindi, and English to coordinate with local vendors and clients.

Mobility: Must be willing to travel across Kolkata and suburbs if required (having a two-wheeler is a plus).

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with Biometric Attendance Systems (Access Control).
