About the Role

We are seeking a WordPress Developer with strong expertise in custom coding. The ideal candidate will be able to build, customize, and optimize WordPress websites beyond standard themes and plugins, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress websites using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Create and modify custom themes and plugins

• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and security

• Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress-related issues

• Integrate APIs and third-party services

• Ensure websites are responsive, SEO-friendly, and user-focused

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of WordPress core & custom coding (not just drag-and-drop)

• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery

• Hands-on experience in custom plugin development and theme customization

• Solid understanding of REST API and AJAX in WordPress

• Familiarity with website optimization, performance tuning, and debugging tools

• Basic knowledge of SEO best practices

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Hands-on experience with WooCommerce (customization & optimization)

• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.) — but must be strong in custom coding

• Knowledge of Git/version control for collaborative development

• Experience in migrating, maintaining, and scaling WordPress websites

• Exposure to security hardening & performance tuning in WordPress
