ROLE OVERVIEW
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for how the workshop looks and sells — from the front reception and waiting lounge to the accessories display and service bay visibility. You ensure that the space communicates quality, trust, and the range of services Grease Monkey offers, whether to a walk-in customer or a first-time visitor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and maintain product and accessories displays in the showroom and waiting area — ensuring stock is attractively arranged, labelled, and regularly refreshed
• Develop and execute in-workshop branding — standees, posters, service menus, wall graphics, and bay signage — in coordination with management and vendors
• Plan and set up seasonal or campaign-based displays for promotions, new service launches, or festive offers
• Ensure the customer-facing areas — reception, lounge, display zones — are always clean, well-lit, and visually consistent with the brand
• Coordinate with the Accessories Specialist to display new products effectively and highlight high-margin items
• Photograph workshop displays, before-after work, and installations for use on social media and marketing material
• Liaise with print and fabrication vendors for banners, vinyl wraps, acrylic displays, and signage production and installation
• Conduct regular audits of all display areas — replace outdated material, fix damaged displays, and maintain planogram compliance
• Gather customer feedback on display visibility and ease of navigation within the workshop space
• Support the management team with visual content requirements for digital marketing — reels, stories, and promotional posts
IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Background in visual merchandising, retail display, interior styling, or graphic design
• Strong aesthetic sense with an eye for layout, colour, and spatial balance
• Practical and hands-on — comfortable coordinating with vendors, managing installations, and doing minor display setups independently
• Basic skills in Canva, Adobe, or similar tools for creating in-store communication material
• Understanding of how retail or service environments influence customer perception and purchase decisions
• Prior experience in an automotive showroom, accessories retail store, or service brand environment is a strong plus
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum 3 years
