Job Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented designer who can design:

• Book Covers (fiction, non-fiction, academic, commercial)

• Inner Page Layout / Typesetting

• Product Catalogues & Brochures

• Promotional materials for authors & publishers

The ideal candidate must understand typography, spacing, paper sizes, print-ready files, and the technical requirements of offset printing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design eye-catching book covers based on author/publisher briefs

• Create clean, readable inner layouts (novels, guides, workbooks, etc.)

• Prepare print-ready files (CMYK, proper bleed, margins, spine width)

• Design catalogues for ReadersBound’s titles and services

• Coordinate with printing and production teams for file accuracy

• Make revisions quickly based on feedback

• Maintain consistency in branding and design quality

Required Skills

• Proficiency in CorelDraw, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

• Strong understanding of typesetting, margins, bleed, gutter, and justification

• Knowledge of offset printing requirements

• Creativity + ability to meet deadlines

• Attention to detail (fonts, spacing, alignment, visual hierarchy)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing book covers or inner pages

• Experience in print media / publishing industry

• Ability to create both minimalist and expressive designs

• Competitive, based on experience
