Graphic Designer

1. Product Design & Packaging

• Design cake boxes, chocolate boxes, bakery packaging, labels, stickers, and product tags.

• Create attractive designs for new cake, pastry, chocolate, and bakery product launches.

• Prepare packaging artwork according to product dimensions and printing requirements.

• Ensure that product names, ingredients, manufacturing dates, expiry dates, and other required information are correctly displayed as per approved specifications.

2. Marketing & Promotional Design

• Design promotional banners, posters, flyers, brochures, and product catalogues.

• Create social media creatives for festivals, special occasions, offers, and new product launches.

• Develop creative designs for occasions such as Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and birthdays.

• Prepare promotional materials for retail outlets, franchise stores, and corporate clients.

3. Digital & Social Media Content

• Design creative posts, advertisements, and promotional content for Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and other digital platforms.

• Coordinate with the marketing team to maintain brand consistency.

• Prepare high-quality product visuals and promotional artwork.

• Support the creation of digital catalogues and online product listings.

4. Printing & Production Coordination

• Coordinate with printing vendors and packaging suppliers.

• Prepare print-ready files in the required formats, sizes, and colour profiles.

• Check proofs and samples before final printing.

• Verify artwork dimensions, colour accuracy, spelling, and layout before approval.

• Follow up with vendors regarding printing quality, delivery schedules, and corrections.

5. Branding & Visual Identity

• Maintain consistency in company logos, fonts, colours, and brand guidelines.

• Design shop signage, display boards, menu cards, price lists, and promotional displays.

• Develop creative concepts for new product ranges and seasonal campaigns.

• Ensure that all designs reflect the company's brand identity and product quality.

6. Internal Coordination

• Coordinate with the Marketing, Production, Purchase, Sales, and Management teams.

• Collect design requirements and product details from the concerned departments.

• Obtain management approval before releasing final artwork for printing or publication.

• Maintain proper communication with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely completion of assignments.

7. File Management & Documentation

• Maintain organised folders for editable artwork, final designs, product photographs, and print-ready files.

• Keep records of approved designs, revisions, and vendor specifications.

• Ensure that editable source files are properly stored and accessible to authorised personnel.

• Maintain an updated design tracker with job status, deadlines, and pending approvals.

8. Quality Control & Deadline Management

• Check every design for spelling mistakes, alignment issues, incorrect product information, and visual inconsistencies.

• Complete assigned projects within the approved deadlines.

• Make necessary corrections based on feedback from management.

• Ensure that no unapproved artwork is sent for printing or publication.

• Handle multiple design assignments while maintaining quality and productivity.

9. Software & Technical Skills

The Graphic Designer should be proficient in:

• Adobe Photoshop

• Adobe Illustrator

• CorelDRAW

• Adobe InDesign, where required

• Canva and other relevant design tools

• Print production, colour management, image editing, and basic typography

10. Reporting & Accountability

• Report to the Marketing Manager or designated reporting authority.

• Submit daily or weekly updates on completed, ongoing, and pending design assignments.

• Take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of submitted artwork.

• Maintain confidentiality of company designs, product information, pricing, and marketing plans.

• Follow company policies, working hours, and departmental procedures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The Graphic Designer's performance may be evaluated based on:

1. Timely completion of assigned design projects.

2. Accuracy and quality of artwork.

3. Creativity and effectiveness of promotional designs.

4. Reduction in printing errors and material wastage caused by design mistakes.

5. Consistency with company branding guidelines.

6. Coordination with internal departments and external vendors.

7. Proper maintenance of design files and documentation.

8. Responsiveness to feedback and revision requests.

• It is a Full Time Graphic / Web Designer job for candidates with 6 months - 3 years of experience.
