Dear Sir/Madam,
We are looking to hire an experienced DTP & Graphic Designer for our educational publishing house, Mindspring Learning.
We are looking for a creative and technically strong candidate who has experience in school textbook, workbook and educational book designing/layout work.
Candidate Profile:
• 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe InDesign
• Good command of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator
• CorelDRAW knowledge will be an added advantage
• Strong experience in book/page layout and DTP
• Experience with English, Hindi and Gujarati books will be preferred
• Knowledge of Unicode fonts and multilingual typesetting
• Ability to design textbook, workbook, activity book and worksheet pages
• Knowledge of cover-page and educational graphic design
• Good understanding of typography, spacing, alignment and page composition
• Knowledge of print-ready PDF, CMYK, bleed, margins, image resolution and pre-press requirements
• Ability to work independently from manuscript/Word files to final print-ready PDF
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across complete book series
• Candidate should be creative, responsible and able to work within deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Candidates who have previously worked with school textbook publishers, educational publishers, book printers or publishing houses will be given preference.
