Computer Designer (Printing Press)

Job Title: Prepress Executive - "Walk In Interview"
Department: Prepress / Graphic Design/Artwork
Location: Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai.
Reports To: Prepress Manager / Production Head

Job Purpose:

To prepare and process artwork files for printing, ensuring quality and accuracy as per client and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Artwork Handling:

• Review and check incoming artwork files for accuracy and completeness.

• Make necessary corrections to files (text, image resolution, bleed, colors, font issues, etc.).

• Prepress Operations:

• Prepare files for printing: trapping, imposition, color separation, and proofing.

• Generate soft and digital proofs for client approval.

• Plate output handling (CTP operations if applicable).

• Software Expertise:

• Use Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Graphic Design) and other prepress software tools.

• Coordination:

• Communicate with design, marketing, and production teams to clarify job specifications.

• Coordinate with clients for proof approvals and artwork queries.

• Quality Control:

• Ensure all files meet printing press requirements and company standards.

• Maintain an organized archive of files and revisions.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Design, or related field.

• 0–4 years experience in prepress or graphic design in a packaging/printing environment.

• Strong knowledge of print processes (offset).

• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Knowledge of CTP operations, color theory, and color management is a plus.
