2D/3D Designer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Designing Modular Furniture:

   • Create functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces with modular components.

   • Develop designs that allow for easy assembly, reconfiguration, and disassembly.

   • Ensure that designs are adaptable for various spaces, such as homes, offices, or public areas.

2. Collaborating with Clients and Teams:

   • Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.

   • Collaborate with engineers, manufacturers, and other designers to create viable and cost-effective solutions.

3. Prototyping and Testing:

   • Create prototypes of modular furniture to test usability, durability, and functionality.

   • Gather feedback from users and make necessary adjustments to improve the product.

4. Material Selection:

   • Select materials that ensure durability, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.

   • Consider materials that support the modular design and can withstand wear and tear.

5. 3D Modeling and Technical Drawings:

   • Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create detailed technical drawings and 3D models.

   • Develop design plans that can be easily followed by the manufacturing team.

6. Sustainability and Innovation:

   • Keep up to date with industry trends, incorporating new materials, technologies, and design practices.

   • Focus on sustainability by choosing eco-friendly materials and considering energy-efficient manufacturing processes.

7. Production Oversight:

   • Ensure the modular furniture is produced according to specifications.

   • Monitor quality control during production to ensure the final product meets the design standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Design Skills: Strong knowledge of design principles, color theory, and ergonomics.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.).

• Creativity: Ability to come up with innovative and practical design solutions.

• Attention to Detail: Focus on precision in measurements, construction, and assembly.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and teams.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate potential challenges and create solutions.
