JOB DESCRIPTION – MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

1. Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in mechanical design and CAD software. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical components, assemblies, and automation systems as per project requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

• Develop machine layouts, mechanical components, and assembly drawings.

• Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.

• Perform 3D part modelling, assembly modelling, and design modifications.

• Select suitable materials and mechanical components as per design requirements.

• Coordinate with production, purchase, and project teams for design implementation.

• Ensure designs are technically feasible, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.

• Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing and assembly.

• Maintain design drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.

• Modify existing designs to improve machine performance and efficiency.

3. Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

4. Required Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of SolidWorks is mandatory.

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Experience in 3D part modelling, assembly modelling, and 2D manufacturing drawings.

• Knowledge of mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gears, motors, pneumatic cylinders, etc.

• Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.

• Knowledge of industrial automation and machine design will be preferred.

• Good problem-solving and coordination skills.

• It is a Full Time Graphic / Web Designer job for candidates with 0 - 6 months of experience.
