Position: Business Development Manager (BDM)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth and market expansion in the Raipur region. The candidate will be responsible for developing new industrial customers, managing existing accounts, generating sales opportunities and achieving business targets.

The ideal candidate should have a strong Industrial Sales / Industrial Marketing background, preferably with experience in welding electrodes, welding consumables, industrial products, steel, engineering or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business and revenue targets.

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers, dealers and key accounts.

• Conduct regular customer visits and understand their technical and commercial requirements.

• Generate enquiries, follow up on leads and convert opportunities into sales.

• Handle negotiations, commercial discussions and closure of business deals.

• Develop key accounts and increase business with existing customers.

• Identify potential industries, plants, projects and customers for business expansion.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing and customer requirements.

• Work closely with the technical and internal teams to provide suitable product solutions and customer support.

• Maintain regular sales follow-ups and ensure timely execution of business commitments.

• Prepare and maintain sales reports, customer updates and territory-wise business plans.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 4–12 years in Industrial Sales / Industrial Marketing / Business Development.

• Candidates with experience in Welding Electrodes, Welding Consumables, Industrial Products, Steel, Engineering Products or related industries will be preferred.

• Strong experience in B2B industrial sales and customer handling.

• Proven track record of new business development and sales achievement.

• Good understanding of industrial markets, customer segments and sales processes.

• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to independently handle the assigned territory and develop new markets.

• Willingness to travel extensively for customer and industrial visits.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
