The Senior Medical Sales Manager leads a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the medical industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare product sales.
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement regional or national sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
Identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive activities.
Establish clear sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and clinical teams to support product launches and campaigns.
Team Management
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of medical sales representatives and account managers.
Conduct regular training and performance reviews to ensure product and sales excellence.
Foster a high-performance culture based on accountability, ethics, and results.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, and purchasing decision-makers.
Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
Business Operations
Monitor sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize profitability.
Provide accurate sales reports and insights to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales, with at least 3 years in a management role.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in the healthcare industry.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
In-depth understanding of healthcare systems, procurement processes, and clinical environments.
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
