Profile: Sales Representative – Solar Industry
Location_ Bhopal/Indore/Jabalpur
Roles & Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify potential residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
Generate leads through field visits, referrals, channel partners, telecalling, and digital inquiries.
Conduct site visits to assess customer suitability for solar installations.
Understand customer energy requirements, load patterns, and cost-saving objectives.
Educate customers on solar solutions, including rooftop, on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems.
Explain technical concepts in a clear, non-technical manner.
Present solar system proposals, including system size, components, performance estimates, and ROI.
Explain government subsidies, net-metering policies, and regulatory approvals.
Demonstrate value propositions such as cost savings, sustainability, and energy independence.
Prepare quotations and commercial proposals in coordination with the technical team.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines within company guidelines.
Close sales deals and obtain customer confirmations, agreements, or purchase orders.
Coordinate with engineering, design, and project teams for feasibility and execution.
Ensure smooth handover from sales to installation and commissioning teams.
Support documentation related to contracts, approvals, and customer onboarding.
Manage dealers, distributors, EPC partners, or institutional clients.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts.
Support partners with training, marketing material, and sales assistance.
Ensure customer satisfaction during installation and commissioning.
Assist customers with basic service coordination and escalation when required.
Track competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments.
Maintain accurate sales records, CRM updates, and pipeline reports.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Ensure transparent communication and ethical sales practices.
