A Sales Officer at Max Life Insurance is responsible for developing agent recruitment channels, building and managing a team of agents, ensuring product knowledge through training, and achieving sales targets. They also work with agents on planning, reviewing activities, and identifying training needs. A key aspect of the role is to improve agent productivity and persistency, ensuring adherence to company sales practices and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Agent Recruitment and Development:
Identify and develop new sources for agent recruitment, build and manage a team of agents, and cultivate a pipeline of potential new hires.
Sales and Business Planning:
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly business plans, improve agent productivity and persistency, and ensure the company's product mix aligns with business goals.
Product Knowledge and Training:
Provide training and support to agents, including field demonstration (FODs), and ensure they are well-versed in Max Life Insurance products.
Customer Relationship Management:
Be a brand ambassador and customer champion, following company sales practices to build customer loyalty and addressing customer queries effectively.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
Work with agents to plan and review activities and goals, identify training needs, and ensure agents are performing according to company standards and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Conduct activities to enhance existing agent footfall and generate referrals.
Hold regular customer meetings to understand customer needs and gather feedback.
Ensure customer queries are addressed promptly and satisfactorily.
Supervise the activities of rakshak managers, officer rakshaks, and agents to ensure adherence to company rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Graduation or Post-Graduation is typically required.
Prior sales experience, preferably in the insurance or financial sector, is essential.
Experience in team handling and sales management is often preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are necessary.
Familiarity with the local market and the ability to build a strong network are also important.
