Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales targets within the assigned territory by promoting pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies. The role involves building strong customer relationships, implementing company strategies, and ensuring business growth in the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Target Achievement
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory.
Promote and generate prescriptions for company products.
Ensure product availability in retail pharmacies and hospitals.
2. Doctor & Customer Relationship Management
Regular visits to General Practitioners, Specialists, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
Organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and promotional meetings.
3. Territory Planning & Coverage
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly tour plans.
Ensure effective territory coverage and customer segmentation.
Identify new business opportunities within the territory.
4. Product Promotion & Communication
Deliver effective product detailing as per marketing strategy.
Communicate product benefits, clinical data, and promotional schemes clearly.
Implement cycle plans and marketing campaigns designed by the Product Management team.
5. Reporting & Market Intelligence
Submit daily call reports and monthly expense statements.
Monitor competitor activities from companies such as Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Cipla, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories.
Provide regular feedback on market trends and customer insights.
6. Compliance & Ethical Standards
Ensure all promotional activities comply with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain ethical standards in all customer interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.Pharm / B.Sc / Life Sciences preferred).
1–5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
Strong knowledge of the assigned therapy segment (preferred).
