Job Description

A Field Sales Manager's job is to oversee and direct a team of sales representatives working remotely or in a specific geographical area to achieve sales targets. Key responsibilities include developing sales strategies, recruiting, training, and motivating the sales team, monitoring performance using metrics and data, building strong customer relationships, and collaborating with internal departments like marketing. Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to meet or exceed sales targets and business goals for a specific territory.

Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, coach, motivate, and manage a team of field sales representatives, providing support and development opportunities to improve their skills and performance.

Performance Monitoring: Track, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, prospects, and stakeholders within the assigned territory.

Market Analysis: Conduct market research, stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities, and identify new market opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and other departments to align sales initiatives, ensure seamless coordination, and drive overall sales success.

Sales Operations: Oversee sales operations in the assigned territory, ensuring efficient execution of sales plans and adherence to company protocols.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.

Experience: Several years of experience in sales, with previous experience in a sales management role or a similar position preferred.

Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team effectively.

Communication: Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data, interpret metrics, and develop effective sales strategies.

Customer Focus: Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other sales tools, and potentially a valid driving license for field travel.
