Job Description

A Field Sales Manager leads and motivates a remote sales team to achieve sales targets within a specific territory by developing and implementing strategies, monitoring performance, providing training, and building strong customer relationships. Key responsibilities include creating strategic plans, managing sales pipelines, tracking performance metrics, collaborating with internal teams, and conducting market research to identify new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Training: Lead, mentor, and motivate field sales representatives, providing ongoing training and support to help them achieve their goals.

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute effective sales strategies and action plans for a specific geographic area to meet sales targets.

Performance Management: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and prepare reports for senior management.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.

Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, understand market trends, and analyze competitor activities.

Collaboration: Work with other internal departments (e.g., marketing, product) to ensure alignment and support overall business objectives.

Sales Process Management: Oversee the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals and managing the sales pipeline.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field is often required.

Experience: Several years of sales experience, including prior experience in a sales management or field sales role, is essential.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and delegate tasks to a remote sales team.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data and develop effective strategies based on findings.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools.
