Papeersity is India's first AI-powered Academic Success Infrastructure platform for students going abroad. Every year, 750,000 Indian students leave for universities in the UK, Canada, Australia, and beyond — and a majority struggle academically within the first semester. Not because they aren't smart. We fix that. Through our Academic Readiness Program (pre-departure, ₹12,000/student) and Academic Assurance (post-arrival, per-assignment support), we give students the academic foundation they were never given — powered by AI, delivered at scale.
We operate B2B2C — through study abroad consultants, IELTS institutes, and education loan companies. The consultant recommends us. The student enrolls. Everyone wins.
We are backed by Build3 and currently expanding city by city across Punjab, starting with Bathinda.
The Role
City Head – Bathinda is not a coordinator role. It is not a relationship management role. It is a revenue ownership role.
You will own Bathinda end-to-end — mapping the consultant ecosystem, signing partner agreements, driving student enrolments, and hitting monthly revenue targets that are already built into our financial model. You are not supporting a sales team. You are the sales engine.
The Bathinda playbook you build will be copy-pasted into Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, and every Punjab city after that. If you perform, you grow with the company. If Bathinda scales, you lead the region.
You report directly to the Founder.
What You Will Do
*Consultant Acquisition
*Cold-visit study abroad consultants across Bathinda — walk in, pitch, close
*Convert consultants into active referral partners who recommend Papeersity at the moment of offer letter or visa confirmation
*Build and manage a pipeline of 30+ active partner consultants within 90 days
*Conduct regular partner reviews, share student success data, and keep partners engaged and selling
Student Enrolments & Revenue
*Work with partner consultants to drive student sign-ups for the Academic Readiness Program
*Own the last-mile closing conversation with students and parents where needed
*Hit 20 enrolments in Month 1, 50 in Month 2, 80 in Month 3 — and hold 80/month as the steady-state floor, not the ceiling
*Build toward a 200+ enrolment month during the September 2026 intake peak
Channel Expansion
*Sign IELTS institutes and education loan DSAs in Bathinda as parallel referral channels
*Represent Papeersity at local education fairs, student seminars, and community events
*Identify micro-influencers, WhatsApp group admins, and student communities that can be activated as referral nodes
Market Intelligence
*Report weekly on consultant objections, student hesitations, competitor activity, and pricing feedback
*Be the ground voice that shapes how Papeersity evolves its Punjab GTM strategy
Compensation
Fixed CTC- ₹50,000 – ₹62,500/month
Performance Incentive- ₹40,000/month
ESOP eligibility after 12 months
Who We Are Looking For
Non-negotiables:
6+ years in study abroad sales, channel development, or business development
Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets — bring numbers, not stories
Based in Bathinda
Comfortable with cold visits — walk into 10 consultants a day without blinking
Owns a two-wheeler; ready to cover the full city daily
Fluent in Punjabi/Hindi
Strong advantage:
Prior experience inside a study abroad consultancy or selling to one
Existing relationships with consultants, IELTS institutes, or loan DSAs in the malwa belt
Understands the study abroad cycle — IELTS timelines, visa slots, intake seasons
Has sold to parents of students going abroad and knows how that conversation works
This role is not for you if:
You need hand-holding to build a pipeline
You are looking for a "relationship management" job with occasional visits
You have never owned a revenue number before
