A Jewelry Salesman is responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing jewelry items such as gold, silver, diamond, and gemstone products. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining product knowledge, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Handling
Greet customers politely and understand their requirements.
Assist customers in selecting suitable jewelry based on budget, occasion, and preferences.
Build trust and long-term relationships with customers.
Product Knowledge
Maintain strong knowledge of gold, silver, diamond, and gemstone jewelry.
Explain product details such as purity (e.g., HUID), weight, pricing, and making charges.
Stay updated with latest jewelry trends and designs.
Sales & Target Achievement
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Upsell and cross-sell products (e.g., matching sets, silver items).
Promote offers, schemes, and new collections.
Billing & Documentation
Assist in billing process and ensure accurate invoicing.
Handle basic documentation related to sales.
Inventory Support
Help in displaying and organizing jewelry items.
Ensure proper handling and safety of high-value items.
Inform management about stock shortages or fast-moving products.
Store Presentation
Maintain cleanliness and attractive display of showroom.
Ensure products are well-arranged and appealing.
Customer Feedback
Encourage customers to give reviews (offline or online).
Handle complaints politely and escalate when needed.
Required Skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of jewelry (training can be provided)
Sales and negotiation skills
Trustworthy and responsible (very important in jewelry business)
Basic computer knowledge for billing
Preferred Qualifications
12th pass or above
Experience in retail or jewelry sales (preferred but not mandatory)
