Position: Area Sales Manager (ASM) / Senior Sales Executive (SSE) – Plywood Division

Department: Sales – Plywood Division
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Head

Position Summary

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) / Senior Sales Executive (SSE) will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding the dealer and distributor network, generating business from projects and institutional customers, and achieving assigned sales targets within the designated territory. The role requires strong market development skills, channel management expertise, and relationship-building capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as assigned by the management.

  • Develop and expand dealer, distributor, and retailer networks within the assigned territory.

  • Generate business through architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, and project customers.

  • Identify new business opportunities and increase market penetration.

  • Conduct regular market visits, customer meetings, and product presentations.

  • Promote company products and strengthen brand presence in the market.

Channel Management

  • Appoint and manage dealers and distributors in the assigned territory.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners.

  • Ensure adequate stock availability and product visibility at dealer counters.

  • Resolve dealer and customer concerns promptly and effectively.

  • Implement company sales schemes and promotional activities.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, promotional schemes, and product launches.

  • Collect market feedback and provide actionable insights to management.

  • Identify emerging market trends and growth opportunities.

Collection & Coordination

  • Ensure timely collection of payments and outstanding dues from customers.

  • Coordinate with dispatch, logistics, and accounts teams for smooth order execution.

  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and MIS documentation.

  • Submit regular updates on sales performance and market developments.


Eligibility Criteria

For Area Sales Manager (ASM)

  • Graduate in any discipline; MBA (Marketing/Sales) preferred.

  • 5–8 years of experience in Plywood, Laminates, MDF, Particle Board, Hardware, Building Materials, or related industries.

  • Strong experience in dealer and distributor network management.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

For Senior Sales Executive (SSE)

  • Graduate in any discipline.

  • 2–5 years of experience in Plywood, Laminates, MDF, Particle Board, Hardware, or Building Material sales.

  • Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

  • Strong customer relationship management skills.
