Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
The Sales Officer will identify and approach potential customers through field visits, cold calls, and local marketing activities. They must explain the features, benefits, interest rates, and documentation requirements of gold loan products, ensuring complete transparency for customers. The officer will conduct the preliminary valuation of gold ornaments and coordinate with the branch appraisal team for accurate assessment.

The Sales Officer ensures smooth loan processing, from application to disbursement, while following internal policies, RBI guidelines, and audit standards. They must be proactive in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets and contribute to branch business growth. Regular follow-ups with customers for loan renewals, interest payments, and closures are essential to maintaining a healthy portfolio.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers is a core part of the role, encouraging repeat business and generating referrals. The Sales Officer should stay updated on market trends, competitor pricing, and customer expectations to enhance sales strategies.

Accurate daily reporting, documentation, and adherence to operational processes are crucial responsibilities. The officer must maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional conduct, problem-solving abilities, and timely service delivery.

Skills & Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 1–3 years of experience in gold loan operations or sales. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills are essential. Basic knowledge of gold valuation and the ability to work under target-driven environments will be beneficial.
