Job Overview
The Territory Sales Manager will drive rooftop solar sales within the assigned region by visiting prospective clients, understanding their requirements, and presenting customized solar solutions. This role requires a results-driven professional with excellent client engagement skills and strong planning ability to manage project budgets, sourcing, and execution activities.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and visit prospective clients for residential, commercial, and industrial rooftop solar projects.
Present detailed proposals and technical solutions to customers, addressing queries and ensuring clarity.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets with strong conversion rates.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and internal project teams.
Plan and forecast project needs in terms of material, budget, and timelines.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintain sales data, pipeline tracking, and performance reports using Microsoft Excel and CRM tools.
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on solar industry trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience, preferably in solar energy or renewable sectors.
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer handling skills.
Excellent planning and organizational ability for project budgeting and sourcing.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, forecasting).
Ability to work independently and travel within assigned territories.
Preferred Attributes
Background in technical sales, especially solar PV systems.
Understanding of rooftop solar design and subsidy processes.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
