Medical Representative

Key responsibilities

• Product promotion and education:

  Presenting pharmaceutical products, detailing their benefits, uses, and scientific data to doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. 

• Relationship management:

  Building and maintaining long-term relationships with medical professionals, hospital staff, and pharmacies. 

• Sales and territory management:

  Achieving sales targets within a designated territory through regular visits, appointments, and negotiations. 

• Market and competitor analysis:

  Researching competitor products and market trends to create effective sales strategies. 

• Reporting and documentation:

  Keeping detailed records of sales, client interactions, and feedback for the company. 

• Event participation:

  Attending and organizing medical conferences, seminars, and workshops to promote products and network. 

• Staying updated:

  Continuously learning about new medical innovations, clinical data, and company products. 

Required skills

• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to explain complex product information clearly. 

• Sales and persuasion: Ability to negotiate contracts and persuade healthcare professionals to prescribe or use company products. 

• Organizational: Skills to manage a demanding schedule of visits, meetings, and deadlines. 

• Technical knowledge: A solid understanding of medical products, their composition, and uses. 

• Flexibility: The ability to adapt to the busy and often unpredictable schedules of healthcare professionals.
