A Medical Representative (MR) is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies within an assigned territory. The main objective of this role is to build strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals, increase product awareness, generate prescriptions, and achieve sales targets. The MR acts as a key link between the company and the medical community by providing accurate product information and ensuring proper product availability in the market.
Visit doctors, hospitals, and healthcare professionals regularly as per the assigned route plan to promote company products.
Present product details including composition, dosage, benefits, indications, and safety information in a professional manner.
Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and clinic staff to support long-term business growth.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets by increasing product demand and prescription generation.
Conduct chemist visits to ensure product availability, encourage stock maintenance, and generate secondary sales.
Coordinate with distributors and stockists for order placement, stock supply, and product movement in the territory.
Collect market feedback regarding competitor activities, pricing, new product launches, and customer preferences.
Ensure timely submission of daily call reports (DCR), weekly plans, sales reports, and other documentation as required by the company.
Support promotional activities such as product launches, medical camps, CME programs, conferences, and special doctor meetings when assigned.
Follow company policies, ethical guidelines, and compliance standards while conducting all business activities.
