Job Summary:

The Loan Collection Officer is responsible for monitoring and recovering overdue loan payments from clients in accordance with the company's credit policies and legal regulations. The role involves direct communication with customers, negotiation of repayment plans, and coordination with legal or recovery teams as needed to minimize financial loss and ensure timely repayment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor assigned loan portfolio to identify delinquent accounts.

• Contact clients via phone, email, or in-person visits to follow up on overdue payments.

• Negotiate repayment terms or restructuring options within authorized limits.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of communication and payment commitments.

• Escalate cases to legal or third-party recovery agents when necessary.

• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Credit, Legal, Risk) to resolve account issues.

• Achieve monthly collection targets and reduce the percentage of non-performing loans (NPLs).

• Provide recommendations on write-offs, legal action, or settlement agreements.

• Prepare and submit regular reports on collection status and recovery performance.
