Key Account Manager – HoReCa

Role Overview The Key Account Manager (KAM) – HoReCa will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts within the Hotels, Restaurants & Cafés (HoReCa) segment. The role focuses on driving revenue, strengthening customer relationships, improving service levels, ensuring timely credit collections, and positioning udaan as a preferred sourcing partner for HoReCa clients in the Bangalore market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Management & Relationship Building
- Manage end-to-end relationships with key HoReCa accounts in the region.
- Develop strong customer engagement to understand requirements, buying patterns, and pain points.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify growth opportunities.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth - Drive revenue targets by increasing wallet share from existing and new HoReCa customers. - Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell categories including staples, perishables, beverages, and non-food items. - Develop account-specific sales strategies aligned with Udaan’s business objectives.
3. Customer Acquisition & Market Expansion
- Identify and onboard new HoReCa clients, including premium hotels, QSRs, restaurants, cafés, and caterers.
- Map market potential and competitive landscape for effective expansion.
4. Demand Planning & Order Management
- Work with supply planning and category teams to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate order processing, timely deliveries, and issue resolution.
- Monitor customer order cycles and take proactive actions to maintain service consistency.
5. Credit Management & Collections
- Monitor customer credit limits, outstanding balances, and payment cycles.
- Ensure timely collection of dues as per agreed credit terms.
- Coordinate with finance teams for reconciliation, dispute resolution, and risk control. - Maintain strong follow-up with customers to minimize overdue payments and improve overall credit hygiene.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with category, supply chain, finance, and operations teams for smooth customer service.
- Ensure pricing accuracy, credit terms, and policy compliance.
- Provide customer feedback and insights to product/category teams for improvements.
7. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track sales performance, customer metrics, outstanding dues, and account-level P&L.
- Share periodic reports and dashboards with leadership.
- Use data to drive decision making and optimize account performance.

- Strong analytical ability; comfortable with data, Excel, and CRM tools.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B environment.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in HoReCa sales/key account management.
- Prior exposure to Bangalore HoReCa market is highly desirable.
