Field Service Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities

Job description

1. Attend assigned service calls as per the daily schedule / Google Sheet and acknowledge tasks on time.

2. Visit customer locations to inspect, diagnose, and repair machines to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation.

3. Carry out machine installations, commissioning, and demonstrations as per company standards.

4. Respond to breakdown calls within the defined TAT and ensure quick resolution to minimize customer downtime.

5. Provide free, warranty, and paid services, and support the promotion of AMC services and spare parts sales.

6. Ensure proper technical guidance and training is given to customers for correct machine usage and basic troubleshooting.

7. Coordinate with the sales team by providing technical support during demos, customer meetings, and installations when required.

8. Act as a communication link between customers, internal teams, and foreign principals for technical clarifications and issue resolution.

9. Maintain accurate records by preparing and submitting Service Reports immediately after completing each service call.

10. Follow company SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality standards while performing service activities.

11. Plan daily visits efficiently and complete 3 to 5 customer visits per day as per KRA expectations.

12. Maintain tools, service kits, and spare parts properly and report requirements in advance.

13. Ensure high customer satisfaction through professional behavior, timely support, and effective problem-solving.
