Job Description

I work as a Sales Officer – Micro Business Loan at AU Small Finance Bank.

My job includes acquiring small business customers, collecting documents, and supporting them in getting business loans.

I did a 2-month paid training, which covered loan products, field sales, and customer handling.

The training fee is refunded as a bonus after starting the job.

Daily I meet customers in the field and help with their loan process.

I coordinate with the credit team and ensure timely disbursement.

🔹 Role & Product Focus

MBL = Mortgage‑Backed Loan or Micro‑Business Loan—includes colla

teralized lending like LAP (Loan Against Property) and loans to MSMEs .

🔹 Core Responsibilities

1. Sales & Lead Generation

Identify and approach new customers via field work, referrals, direct marketing, and cold calls .

Develop aggressive call plans to hit monthly/quarterly sales targets .

2. Customer Relationship Management

Paid training for MBL profile (Sales officer- micro business loan).

Build and strengthen client relationships for repeat and referral business .

Handle customer queries, provide product information, and ensure excellent follow-through .

3. Documentation & Processing

Collect and verify all required customer documentation for loans .

Prepare Credit Appraisal Memos (CAMs) and ensure compliance with bank policies .

4. Disbursement & After‑Sales Follow‑Up

Coordinate with internal teams to process and disburse loans smoothly .

Monitor post-disbursement document submission and maintain compliance .

5. Collections & Portfolio Management

Execute EMI collections and manage delinquent accounts .

Coordinate with collections and operational teams, including field verifications .

6. Team Leadership & Training (for Senior/Manager roles)

Mentor field teams to drive performance and reduce NPAs .

Lead product marketing strategies and team deployment .

🔹 Requirements & Skills

Education: Graduate (B.Com, MBA preferred for higher roles) .

Experience:

Entry/Sales Officer: 0–3 years in banking/financial services/sales .

Manager: 2–5+ years sales experience, with 2+ years of team leadership for manager-level roles .

Skills & Traits: Strong sales acumen, communication, negotiation, tech-savvy, customer focus, integrity .

Local Market Awareness: Familiarity with regional demographics is a plus .

Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently across assigned localities .
