Field Sales Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales/BD Manager to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B and B2C sales, strong relationship-management skills, and the ability to work closely with academic institutions, clients, students, and internal teams.

The role involves managing existing academic partnerships, developing new business opportunities, conducting client visits, handling negotiations, and supporting the organization’s training and placement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Academic & Client Relationship Management

Coordinate with and regularly visit existing academic partners to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.

Maintain regular communication with clients and academic institutions.

Handle client and student queries/complaints in coordination with relevant internal teams.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and institutional partners.

Sales & Business Development

Conduct sales visits and prepare and submit formal visit reports to management.

Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through various channels.

Maintain an updated tracker for new inquiries, ongoing projects, prospects, and potential customers.

Manage the sales process from initial inquiry to negotiation and closure.

Communicate with clients regarding pricing, rate negotiations, proposals, requirements, and project discussions.

Follow up consistently with prospects and convert opportunities into business.

Travel for client meetings, customer visits, exhibitions, trade fairs, and other business events as required.

Product & Solution Knowledge

Develop strong and in-depth knowledge of the organization’s products, programs, and services.

Understand client requirements and communicate appropriate solutions effectively.

Present product/program offerings confidently to academic institutions, corporate clients, and other stakeholders.

Contract & Account Management

Coordinate and manage the contract lifecycle, including discussions, documentation, renewals, and closure.

Ensure timely follow-ups and coordination with internal teams for contract-related requirements.

Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, agreements, and project status.
