Solar Maintenance Technician – O&M

Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field

Job Summary

We are looking for a Solar Maintenance Technician to handle the preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and performance monitoring of Solar PV systems.

Freshers with the right technical qualification and a strong interest in Solar O&M are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of Solar PV systems.

Inspect and maintain solar modules, inverters, DC/AC cables, junction boxes, LT panels, and protection systems.

Monitor inverter performance, alarms, faults, and generation.

Troubleshoot inverter, string, DC/AC, and electrical faults.

Check earthing, lightning protection, electrical connections, and safety systems.

Conduct electrical testing using multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, etc.

Perform module cleaning, inspection, and routine site maintenance.

Identify loose connections, damaged modules, overheating, corrosion, and other faults.

Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and daily site reports.

Coordinate with O&M Engineers, supervisors, vendors, and service teams.

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and LOTO practices.

Required Skills

Basic/practical knowledge of Solar PV systems and Solar O&M.

Good understanding of DC and AC electrical systems.

Basic knowledge of solar inverter operation and troubleshooting.

Basic knowledge of earthing and electrical protection systems.

Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Ability to use basic electrical testing instruments.

Good work discipline, willingness to learn, and safety awareness.

Eligibility

ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field.

1–3 years of relevant experience in Solar O&M / Electrical Maintenance preferred.

Freshers are also welcome to apply.

Experience in rooftop, C&I, or ground-mounted solar projects will be an added advantage.
