The "Paytm Field Service Executive" (FSE) role generally involves being the on-ground face of Paytm for merchants and small businesses, often combining sales, onboarding, and service support functions.
Based on typical job descriptions, the primary duties include:
1. Merchant Onboarding & Sales
New Merchant Acquisition: Visiting retail shops, small businesses, and enterprises within an assigned territory.
Product Sales: Selling Paytm's payment solutions, which may include:
QR Codes for payment acceptance.
Paytm Soundboxes (voice confirmation devices).
EDC/Card Swipe Machines.
Other financial products (e.g., loans, insurance, Gold SIP).
Education: Explaining the benefits, features, and correct usage of the Paytm platform and its devices to the merchants.
2. Service & Relationship Management
Product Deployment: Installing and setting up the devices (QR, Soundbox, EDC machine) at the merchant's location.
Troubleshooting/Servicing: Visiting existing or inactive merchants to resolve technical issues, replace faulty devices (like a non-working Soundbox or EDC machine), and reactivate their services.
Query Resolution: Answering merchant questions and ensuring they have a positive experience with Paytm's services.
Retention: Ensuring customer satisfaction to maintain higher sales conversions and retention.
3. Branding & Reporting
Branding Activity: Conducting branding and re-branding activities (e.g., placing new stickers or materials) at the retail shops.
Reporting: Maintaining daily records of market visits, sales leads, installations, and service tasks.
In simple terms, you are responsible for getting new shops to use Paytm and making sure the existing shops keep using it smoothly.
