About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and goal-oriented Field Sales Executive to join our sales team. This is a purely field-based sales role. The candidate will be responsible for going out, meeting potential clients door-to-door, generating leads from the ground, and converting those leads into business. Inbound leads from social media, referrals, and networking are handled by a separate Business Development Executive — this role is solely focused on field sales and on-ground lead generation.
Key Responsibilities
Door-to-Door Field Sales
• Visit potential clients directly in the field across Surat and nearby areas on a daily basis.
• Introduce the company and its products to new prospects through direct, face-to-face interactions.
• Build initial rapport with clients and identify genuine business interest.
Lead Generation from the Field
• Actively scout for new business opportunities through on-ground fieldwork.
• Identify and shortlist potential clients who have a need for our products.
• Pass well-qualified leads to the reporting manager or BDE for further follow-up and closure.
Sales Conversion
• Pitch the product confidently and handle basic objections during field visits.
• Work towards converting visited leads into confirmed business.
• Follow up with interested clients within a reasonable time to keep interest alive.
Target Achievement
• Achieve monthly sales targets assigned by the management.
• Submit daily and weekly field visit reports to the reporting manager.
• Maintain a clear record of all prospects visited, their status, and next steps.
Skills Required
• Strong communication skills in Gujarati and Hindi (English is an added advantage).
• Confident, approachable, and persuasive in face-to-face conversations.
• Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated in a field-heavy role.
• Self-disciplined with the ability to plan and execute daily field visits independently.
• Basic understanding of sales techniques and client handling.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for reporting and communication.
• Physically active and willing to travel within Surat and surrounding areas regularly.
Education
• Minimum: 12th Pass (HSC or equivalent).
• Preferred: Graduate in any stream (B.Com, BBA, BA, or equivalent).
Experience
Experienced Candidates
• 1–3 years of experience in the textile industry in a field sales or direct sales role.
• Prior experience of visiting clients directly and closing deals on the field is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Surat textile market and existing client contacts will be a strong advantage.
Freshers / Career Switchers
• Candidates with field sales experience in any other industry (FMCG, real estate, insurance, retail, etc.) are welcome to apply.
• Should have a genuine interest in the textile industry and a willingness to learn the product quickly.
• A strong work ethic and comfort with daily fieldwork is more important than industry background.
