Job Description: Territory Sales Officer — Lubricant SegmentPosition OverviewThe Territory Sales Officer (TSO) – Lubricant Segment is responsible for driving sales, distribution, and brand visibility of lubricant products within an assigned geographic territory. This role involves managing distributors, developing new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Market DevelopmentAchieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for lubricant products.Identify and develop new customers across automotive, industrial, and commercial segments.Implement territory-specific sales strategies to increase market share.Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities, pricing, and product trends.2. Channel & Distribution ManagementManage and support distributors, dealers, retailers, and workshops.Ensure appropriate stock levels, timely replenishment, and effective secondary sales.Onboard new channel partners and enhance existing relationships.Monitor distributor performance and ensure adherence to company policies.3. Customer Relationship ManagementDevelop strong relationships with mechanics, fleet owners, industrial clients, service centers, and key accounts.Provide product knowledge sessions, technical support, and after-sales service.Address customer queries, complaints, and requirements promptly.4. Sales Operations & ReportingPlan daily/weekly sales routes and maintain territory coverage.Track sales performance, key metrics, and field activities using CRM or reporting tools.Prepare market intelligence reports including competitor analysis, pricing changes, and promotional activities.Ensure compliance with company sales processes, credit norms, and documentation.5. Marketing & PromotionExecute local promotional campaigns, mechanic meets, retailer schemes, and branding initiatives.Coordinate with the marketing team for product launches and advertising support.Increase brand visibility through on-ground marketing activities.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.1–5 years of field sales experience (preferably in lubricants, automotive aftermarket, or FMCG).Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work independently, manage territory travel, and handle pressure.Basic understanding of lubricant products and applications (preferred).Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.Key CompetenciesResult-oriented and self-motivatedTerritory planning & executionCustomer service mindsetProblem-solving and quick decision-makingStrong interpersonal and networking abilitiesWork Environment & TravelExtensive field travel required within assigned territory.Office location will typically be at the distributor point or
