ITI Electrician – Smart Meter Installation Job Description

Position: ITI Electrician – Smart Meter Installation
Industry: Power / Smart Metering
Employment Type: Full-time / Field Job

Job Responsibilities:

Install and replace smart electricity meters at consumer premises.
Carry out single-phase and three-phase meter installations as per company/DISCOM guidelines.
Perform meter wiring, connection, testing, and commissioning.
Ensure proper safety procedures during installation.
Identify and resolve basic electrical/wiring issues at the consumer location.
Capture installation details, meter readings, photographs, and other required data through the mobile application.
Coordinate with supervisors and field teams for daily work allocation.
Achieve assigned daily installation targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Travel to different consumer locations within the assigned service area.

Eligibility:

ITI Electrician qualification mandatory.
0–3 years of experience in electrical work/meter installation preferred.
Knowledge of basic electrical wiring and safety procedures.
Candidates should be comfortable with field work and daily travel.
Own bike/two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/mandatory, depending on project requirements.
Basic smartphone knowledge required.

Key Skills:
