Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.
Conduct field visits, client meetings, and site surveys within the assigned territory.
Engage with industrial, commercial, and institutional clients to promote solar energy solutions.
Understand customer energy requirements and propose technically viable and commercially competitive solar solutions.
Coordinate with engineering and design teams for feasibility, layout, and proposal preparation.
Prepare and present techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and ROI analysis.
Maintain strong relationships with local industries, vendors, and decision-makers.
Track leads, follow up on inquiries, and close sales targets within defined timelines.
Gather market intelligence, competitor insights, and pricing trends from the field.
Ensure proper handover of projects to execution teams after order finalization.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of solar PV systems, components, and basic design concepts.
Proven field sales experience in the solar or renewable energy sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and manage extensive field travel.
Strong familiarity with local industrial areas, business hubs, and decision networks.
Mandatory Requirements
Strong local area knowledge with direct access to industries and commercial establishments.
Two-wheeler ownership is mandatory.
Valid driving license is compulsory.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Educational Qualifications
Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or related engineering disciplines (preferred).
Candidates with relevant field sales experience may be considered irrespective of formal education.
Experience
1–5 years of experience in field sales, preferably in solar energy, electrical products, or EPC projects.
Fresh candidates with strong local networks and technical aptitude may also be considered.
