A Field Sales Executive for a textile company is responsible for traveling to meet B2B (business-to-business) clients, promoting fabrics, yarns, or garments, and driving revenue within a designated geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition: Identify, pitch, and onboard new B2B clients such as garment manufacturers, boutiques, tailors, wholesalers, buying houses, and retail chains.
Field Visits & Market Mapping: Conduct regular market visits within your assigned territory to understand local demand, spot fashion/fabric trends, and pitch product catalogs or sample swatches.
Sales Execution: Pitch different fabric types, weaves, blends, GSM (grams per square meter), and prints, share price quotes, negotiate terms, and close orders.
Client Relationship Management: Maintain regular touchpoints with existing clients, handle sample requests, resolve order issues, and ensure repeat business.
Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with production, quality control, and logistics teams to track order execution, dispatch schedules, and timely delivery. [1]
Reporting & Market Intelligence: Track competitor pricing and collection updates, submit daily/weekly visit reports, and report sales forecasts to management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Textile Technology, or a related field (preferred, though experience can substitute).
Experience: 1 to 5+ years of B2B field sales experience, preferably within the textile, fabric, or garment industry.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of fabric specifications (such as cotton, synthetic blends, knitted/woven structures, GSM, and dyeing).
Soft Skills: Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
Mobility & Tools: Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license, personal vehicle for field travel, and basic familiarity with MS Office or CRM software.
