TRAINEE CSO / COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER / SENIOR CSO
To acquire, appraise, disburse, monitor, and recover product loans for low-income individuals, in line with the organisation’s financial inclusion objectives, while ensuring portfolio quality and compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Know your geography
• Market intelligence like population, gender ration, household information, retail outlets, FMFC industry information, Govt. schemes etc.
Agent Acquisition
• Identify and onboard active Agents for lead generation form various cohorts (minimum 100):
o CSCs
o Centre Leaders
o Self Help Groups
o Postman/Teacher/Courier delivery boys etc
Client Acquisition
• Identify financially excluded individuals and families in the assigned area through active Agents.
• Conduct village mapping and general meetings for borrower sourcing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Agents and borrower communities and local influencers.
Loan Sourcing & Appraisal
• Carry out 100% household visits during Pre-GRT.
• Collect borrower information including income details, household/business cash flows, and liabilities.
• Conduct field, house, and business visits to assess residence, business viability, and repayment capacity.
• Prepare and submit loan proposals in line with credit policy and system requirements.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation, KYC, and regulatory compliance.
Disbursement & Client Education
• Support product loan disbursement as per approved terms and procedures.
• Clearly explain loan amount, 100% online repayment schedule, instalments, and client obligations.
• Ensure borrower understanding of ethical borrowing and repayment discipline.
Collections & Portfolio Monitoring
• 100% cashless collection through UPI mode.
• Monitor repayment behaviour and identify early signs of stress or delinquency.
• Conduct follow-ups for overdue accounts while maintaining ethical cashless collection practices.
Reporting, Compliance & Conduct
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documents at branch level.
• Coordinate with Branch Manager for reconciliation, MIS updates, and issue resolution.
• Ensure 100% adherence to SCNL policies, RBI, and MFIN guidelines.
• Maintain zero tolerance for any manipulation or unethical practices at centres.
• Always ensure professional and ethical behaviour with clients.
