The Debt Recovery Agent (Group Loan) is responsible for the recovery of overdue group loans by engaging with borrower groups at the field level. The role involves regular field visits, coordination with Self-Help Groups (SHGs) / Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), ensuring repayment discipline, maintaining healthy customer relations, and achieving assigned collection targets in line with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Conduct regular field visits to borrower groups for repayment collection.
Ensure timely recovery of dues from SHG/JLG members.
Communicate repayment schedules, penalties, and consequences of delays.
Motivate and counsel group members to maintain repayment discipline.
Negotiate repayment plans with defaulters while adhering to ethical practices.
Record and deposit collected payments as per company guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of field visits, collections, and customer interactions.
Report chronic defaulters and recommend legal/disciplinary action where necessary.
Support group meetings and educate customers on financial discipline.
Build positive relationships with group members and community leaders.
Strong communication and persuasion skills (local language proficiency a must).
Ability to handle field challenges and difficult conversations professionally.
Basic knowledge of microfinance and group loan processes.
Trustworthy, disciplined, and result-oriented.
Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
Minimum 12th Pass (Graduate preferred).
Experience in microfinance, NBFC, or group loan recovery is desirable.
Freshers with strong interpersonal skills may also be considered.
Familiarity with rural/semi-urban areas and local community practices is an advantage.
Achievement of monthly/weekly collection targets.
Group repayment discipline and on-time recovery percentage.
Accuracy and timeliness of collection records & reporting.
Number of overdue accounts resolved.
