A Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting sales strategies. The role combines market research, networking, and negotiation to expand a company’s reach and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis
Identify potential markets, industries, and clients.
Monitor competitor activities and industry trends.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Generate leads through networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
Negotiate contracts and close deals.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
Present proposals and solutions tailored to client needs.
Strategic Planning
Contribute to business growth plans and expansion strategies.
Provide feedback to management on market opportunities.
Support product/service development based on client insights.
Core Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and meet targets.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
Experience: 2+ years in sales, marketing, or business development (entry-level roles may accept fresh graduates).
