Job Description

Qualification : MBA Any Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Printing, Packaging, or a related technical discipline.

Role Overview

......................& Machinery Ltd is looking for a Sales Engineer to drive business growth in the assigned territory through direct customer engagement, techno-commercial selling, lead generation, and customer relationship management. The role involves identifying opportunities, understanding customer application requirements, proposing suitable products and solutions, conducting demonstrations, supporting order closure, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have strong B2B industrial sales exposure, sound technical understanding, and the ability to build customer confidence through solution-based selling. The role is suitable for candidates who can combine field sales activity with technical discussions and commercial follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and sell company products and solutions in the assigned territory to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

•Identify new business opportunities across industrial customers, OEMs, dealers, distributors, contractors, and end users relevant to the company portfolio.

•Visit customers regularly to understand their application needs, production process, technical issues, and buying requirements.

•Conduct product presentations, machine demonstrations, sample trials, and techno-commercial discussions with customers.

•Prepare and submit quotations, follow up on enquiries, negotiate commercial terms, and support order conversion.

•Coordinate with service, technical, operations, and accounts teams for timely order execution, installation support, complaint resolution, and payment follow-up.

•Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers while developing new accounts in the territory.

•Maintain accurate records of customer visits, leads, opportunities, quotations, sales forecasts, and order status in CRM or reporting systems.

•Support exhibitions, customer meetings, field trials, and promotional activities as required.

•Ensure collection discipline and coordinate for outstanding payment recovery from assigned customers.

•Strong techno-commercial understanding and ability to recommend suitable solutions based on customer applications.

•Good communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.

•Familiarity with CRM tools, reporting systems, and sales follow-up processes. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Preferred Industry Exposure

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following sectors would be preferred: industrial printers, coding and marking systems, inks and consumables, packaging machinery, automation products, manufacturing line equipment, extrusion-related solutions, industrial process equipment, or other industrial products.
