ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking results-driven and highly motivated Business Development Managers to join our
growing Sales & Expansions team. The ideal candidate will have a strong consultative sales background,
the ability to connect with entrepreneurs and business owners, and a passion for driving meaningful
impact through smmart’s training programs. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients,
managing the sales pipeline, and achieving revenue targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Revenue Generation: Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through program enrolments
as set by the Departmental Head.
• Customer Acquisition & Meetings: Conduct 18–25 meetings per week with SME and
entrepreneur prospects to pitch smmart’s offerings and close deals.
• Lead Management: Track and follow up on all incoming leads from CRM, campaigns, referrals,
and review channels.
• Sales Presentations & Consultations: Conduct structured solution-selling presentations based on
smmart’s sales frameworks including SPANCO, SPIN, and Burgers.
• Conversion & Closures: Handle objections, offer tailored solutions, and ensure quick conversion
from inquiry to enrolment.
• CRM Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of meetings, lead
progress, closures, and pipeline forecasts in DAR/CRM.
• Client Servicing Coordination: Ensure post-enrolment formalities, and coordinate seamless
handover to the Review & Delivery team.
• Seminar & Workshop Conversions: Drive enrolments by converting footfalls from smmart
workshops and seminars into full program participants.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Graduate in any discipline — Mandatory.
• MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development — Preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in B2C / B2B consultative sales roles.
• Proven track record of achieving targets and managing multiple accounts or territories.
• Experience in handling channel partners or franchise networks is an added advantage.
• Must be open to extensive travel across locations.

Minimum Qualification Graduate in any discipline (Mandatory)
Preferred Qualification MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development
Preferred Stream Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related fields
Additional Certification Sales, Negotiation, or CRM tools (preferred, not mandatory)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in B2C or B2B consultative sales — Mandatory.
• Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in client-facing roles, territory management, or account handling is essential.
• Prior exposure to the education, training, or consulting industry is a strong advantage.
• Experience with franchise networks, channel partners, or SME-focused sales is preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively across locations as required.
