The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar power solutions (rooftop/commercial/utility-scale), market trends, and customer needs. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing sales revenue.
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the residential, commercial, and industrial solar segments.
Generate leads through market research, cold calls, networking, and industry events.
Understand client requirements and propose suitable solar energy solutions.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and financial models for clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, EPC contractors, consultants, and government bodies.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Track market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting the solar industry.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Represent the company at trade shows, expos, and renewable energy forums.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Renewable Energy, or related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development in the solar or renewable energy sector.
Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, net metering, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to close deals and meet revenue targets.
Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales analytics.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Knowledge of state and national solar policies and subsidies.
Experience in dealing with government tenders or rooftop solar projects.
