Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities, building client relationships, and promoting the company’s EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) and Solar Panel manufacturing capabilities. The role involves market analysis, customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and contributing to the company’s long-term sales strategy in both domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Growth
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the EMS and Solar Panel sectors.
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Build a strong sales pipeline and maintain relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, distributors, and system integrators.
Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to develop proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
2. Market Development & Strategy
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive activities, and potential clients in target regions.
Develop go-to-market strategies for new services or solar products (e.g., PV modules, inverters, mounting systems).
Support product development by providing customer and market insights to the R&D team.
Identify and develop new verticals or applications for solar and electronics manufacturing.
3. Client Relationship Management
Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Act as the primary point of contact for client communication, negotiation, and after-sales support.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry conferences to promote company offerings.
4. Proposal Development & Negotiation
Prepare technical and commercial proposals in coordination with the engineering and finance teams.
Lead contract negotiations to secure profitable deals.
Ensure all agreements are in compliance with company policies and profitability standards.
5. Reporting & Performance Analysis
Maintain regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline status.
Provide market intelligence and competitor analysis to management.
Use CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical), Business Administration, or related field.
MBA or equivalent qualification in Sales/Marketing is a plus.
5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in EMS, solar, or renewable energy sectors.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing long-term client relationships.
Strong understanding of solar power systems, PV module technology, and electronics manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and market analysis software.
Preferred Attributes:

Experience with export markets and international clients.
Knowledge of government policies, subsidies, and tenders related to renewable energy.
